Reviews and Ratings
Our stay at Hotel La Clef was quite a mixed bag. While the pleasant courtyard provided a nice retreat from the initial dullness of the area, the dining experience fell short, with uninspired food choices. The room situation was less than ideal, especially during check-in, and the overall management left something to be desired, impacting the comfort of the stay. Nonetheless, the gardens were lovely, albeit filled with plastic chairs.
Hotel La Clef started off on a low note for us with its unappealing street view, but the nice courtyard helped lift our spirits a bit. The room left something to be desired, especially when it came to the bed size. Dining was a letdown with uninspiring dishes, and the service didn't leave us feeling welcomed. Overall, while the courtyard offered some charm, the mediocre restaurant and management attitude severely impacted our stay.
Hotel La Clef has a nice courtyard that brightens the otherwise dull environment of Biesheim. The room situation can be a bit disappointing if you're expecting a true double bed. While the garden is pleasant, the dining experience left much to be desired, especially with the roast lamb. Overall, it seems the attitude of management reflects in the dining quality, which could definitely use some improvement.
We arrived in Biesheim and were initially put off by the street side of Hotel La Clef, but the courtyard was a pleasant surprise. While the rooms were decent, the dining experience didn’t meet expectations - my roast lamb was particularly disappointing. The garden has potential, but the plastic chairs detracted from its charm. Overall, it has some nice features, but the dining quality really needs improvement.
Upon arriving at Hotel La Clef, I was initially put off by the uninviting exterior and location. However, the charming courtyard offered a nice surprise. While my wife enjoyed a decent foie gras, my meal left much to be desired with flavourless lamb being the highlight of my disappointment. Service felt lackluster, and the manager seemed more focused on overseeing than providing a welcoming atmosphere. All in all, while the hotel has some nice features, the dining experience fell short, making it hard to fully enjoy our stay.
